Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is better known by her stage and screen names Gugu Mbatha Raw. Her popularity grew due to her appearance in the BBC television series of science fiction called Doctor Who. Chelsea Joy Handler is a New Jersey native born in Livingston on 25 February 1975. She was one of the six youngest children. The mother of Handler was a domestic worker, while her father worked as a used-car dealer. Her mother arrived in the United States in 1958, as an immigrant from Germany. After ten long years of fight against breast cancer, she passed away in 1989. Handler was born into the family of a Reform Judaism family. Her father was Jewish. Handler was blessed with a joyful good, healthy and safe childhood living in a safe neighborhood. As a teenager Handler moved from the city of Los Angeles, California to explore a career in acting. Handler was an actor to earn a living for herself. Handler made the decision to concentrate on stand-up after she turned 21 following the realization of the power of storytelling. At the beginning of her career Handler started her professional profession as part of the Oxygen network, which was an all-female cast on a hidden camera/practical joke reality show on TV called Girls Behaving badly. The show was broadcast between 2002 and 2005. The handler started appearing on other shows including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler is also an anchor for The Tonight Show. Handler's big break came in 2006, when she was able to host her own show on E! The Chelsea Handler Show. The show lasted for two seasons. Handler performed on Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the next season in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all broadcasted her stand-up show. In 2010, she revealed that she was going to be hosting for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Roseanne became the very first female ever to host the VMAs.
